Botrivier has a Mediterranean climate, which means longer growing seasons with moderate to warm temperatures.
All fruit was hand-picked, whole bunch (carbonic) fermented for ten days, pressed and taken off the lees and then aged in steel tanks for eight months.
Gabriëlskloof Whole Bunch Syrah
A floral, earthy and intensely complex vintage showing a dense core of black and red fruits and white pepper that again nods towards the northern Rhone.
The palate is not without tannin or acidity but is led by pure fruit and a touch of aromatic spice. The overall effect is lifted and ethereal where the 2021 was dense and coiled - making this more approachable though no less beguiling.
