Pinot Noir Is known as one of the most difficult wines to successfully produce. The grapes thin skin and tight bunch makes it hard to handle in the vineyard and in the cellar. The thin skin of the grape gives  wine a light pomegranate red colour

Jakkalsvlei is situated at the foot of the Langeberg Mountain in the southern Cape which is 40km from the Indian Ocean. The farm produces roughly 300 000 liters annually from 50Ha of operating vineyards.
